34 A Silk Bible Bookmark was made commemorating Charlotte after her passing.
It is inscribed with " In loving memory of Charlotte Barker, died March 3rd, 1918, Aged 70 yrs. dearest Mother we have laid thee in the peaceful grave's embrace, but thy memory will be cherished till we see thy heavenly face". Interred at Woodhouse Cemetery, March 7th, 1918. " AT REST WITH GOD".
The 1911 census of England states that Charlotte had 14 children born alive but 4 had died leaving 10 still living in 1911. It was known to my family that Elizabeth was her 7th child so 1 died before 1883 either in Wednesbury or Leeds and 3 died in Leeds after that year.

36 According to Pallot's Marriage Index she was Jane Scott of Sherburn. This was probably Sherburn in Elmet not far from Aberford. Found living with son Peter in 1851 census which shows she was born about 1772 in Etal, Northumberland. On her death certificate her age was 82 which suggests 1771 as her year of birth. In the IGI her birth date is given as about 1778. SCOTT, Jane (I434)

39 Alfred Jefferies owned the White Horse Hotel, 360 York Road, Leeds. Later he sold it and bought the Ship and the Exchange Hotels in Harrogate. He and his second wife retired and moved to Blackpool. The 1911 census suggests that he was at The Kings Arms in Meanwood Road, Leeds on census night while his family were at 24 Louis St., Leeds.
